Clip Properties
Transform, animate, crop, color, audio, speed, blending, effects, and masks. The right-hand panel that opens when you select a clip.
Select a clip and the properties panel opens on the right with controls that fit that clip. Deselect and it tucks away. Different clip types show different tabs.
A video clip gets Transform, Animate, Crop, Color, Audio, Speed, Blending, Effects, and Masks. Images drop Audio and Speed, audio clips have only Audio and Speed, and text clips swap in their own controls.
Transform
For anything visual: position (x and y), width and height, rotation, scale x and y, and opacity. This is how you place a logo, size a picture-in-picture, or nudge a title.
Every one of those values can be animated. Click the diamond next to a row to drop a keyframe at the playhead, then pick the easing for the segment — linear, ease in, ease out, ease in-out, hold, or a custom bezier you drag by hand. There are also Ken Burns presets at the bottom for a one-click slow push or drift.
Animate
The keyframe inspector. It lists every animated property with its keyframes, lets you step to the previous or next one, and copies the whole animation off one clip so you can paste it onto another.
Crop
Trim the frame itself: Left, Top, Width, and Height as fractions of the source, plus a Reset crop button.
Color
A full grade, running on the GPU and keyframeable like everything else:
- Looks — eight presets (Teal & Orange, Golden Hour, Film Noir, Cool Morning, Vintage Fade, High Key, Moody Green, Punchy). Tweak one and save it as your own look to reuse across the project.
- LUT — import a
.cubefile and dial it in with a Mix slider. - Basics — exposure, contrast, saturation, and the rest.
- Temp / Tint — white balance.
- Curves — master, red, green, and blue.
- Lift / Gamma / Gain — colour wheels for shadows, midtones, and highlights.
- Qualifier — an HSL key so a change lands on one colour range only.
Audio
For video and audio clips: Volume from 0 to 200% with a dB readout, a Mute toggle, and Fade in / Fade out sliders. Speed lives in its own tab.
Speed
A slider from 0.1x to 4x with presets at 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25, 1.5, 2, and 4x, plus a Pitch toggle: Maintain keeps voices sounding normal, Variable lets them shift with the rate.
Video clips also get a two-point Speed ramp, where you set a start and end rate (0 to 8x) and Klipeo sweeps between them.
On top of that there are three remaps that replace the constant rate entirely, so the slider locks while one is on:
- Reversed — plays the clip backwards. Audio is dropped; video only.
- Boomerang — forward then back in the same duration.
- Stutter — holds each frame briefly then jumps, for a strobe feel.
You can also hold a single frame as a freeze.
Blending
Set a clip's opacity and pick a blend mode for how it mixes with what's underneath. All the usual modes are here: normal, multiply, screen, overlay, darken, lighten, color dodge, color burn, hard light, soft light, difference, and exclusion.
Effects
Add effects to a clip and tweak their settings. Stack more than one when you want to combine looks. There are nine visual effects — Blur, Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Hue Rotate, Grayscale, Sepia, Invert, and Chroma Key for green-screen keying.
Audio and video clips also get an audio chain: Loudness normalize, Dialogue leveler, Stereo widen, and Convolution reverb, which takes your own impulse response file if you have one.
Masks
Limit where a clip shows using a mask: a rectangle, a circle, an ellipse, a polygon, or a Pen path you draw point by point. Polygon and pen masks stay editable — drag the points any time. Each mask has its own feather for a soft edge, its own opacity, and an invert toggle to hide the masked area instead of revealing it.
Adjustment layers take masks too, which turns them into power windows: grade one part of the frame and leave the rest alone.
Zoom
Select a zoom region and you get its own tab: depth 1 to 6, and the focus point as x and y. Focus mode is Manual for now — Auto cursor is there but disabled until cursor telemetry has been captured.
Text
Text clips swap in their own controls instead. Those live on the Captions & text page.
Whatever you set here, Vibe can set too
The properties panel and Vibe write to the same clip. Style something by hand, then ask Vibe to "make the rest match this," or have Vibe rough it in and fine-tune the numbers yourself.
