Templates & Canvas

Start from a template, and set your canvas size, frame rate, and the beautify frame styling.

Templates

The Templates view is a browser for templates published elsewhere, sourced from the Artlist catalog. Search it, narrow it with the category chips, or filter by the app a template is built for — After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Resolve, CapCut, or Canva. Each card shows a preview, a title, the creator, and its tags.

Browse only

There's no apply button. Templates are for the other app they were made in — the card's Open source link takes you to where you can get it. Nothing is imported into your composition.

Canvas size

A composition has a canvas, and you pick its shape from the presets:

PresetSizeGood for
16:91920 x 1080YouTube, landscape
9:161080 x 1920Reels, TikTok, Shorts
1:11080 x 1080Square posts
4:51080 x 1350Feed posts
4:31440 x 1080Classic
21:92560 x 1080Ultrawide, cinematic
2:31080 x 1620Pinterest, print

A new composition starts at 16:9 (1920 x 1080). Frame rate is yours to set too: 24, 25, 30, 50, or 60 fps, defaulting to 30. The same view sets the canvas background color, alpha included.

Beautify

For talking-head and screen-recording videos, the Settings view has a beautify option that frames your video nicely: Padding from 0 to 100%, corner Radius from 0 to 80 px, Shadow from 0 to 1, and one of eleven gradient wallpapers behind it. It's the quickest way to make a raw screen capture look finished.

One project, many sizes

Need the same edit as a wide YouTube cut and a vertical Reel? Make a composition per size inside one project. Or ask Vibe to reframe, or run the Social pack Skill to get 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1 from one master.
